Inspired by the moment the nuclear bomb exploded anda person who has been exposed to radiation ( Impereial War Museum), I planned to complete two textile samples and work on mannequin tests to make a collage with them at home. But it took longer to make samples than I thought, so I couldn’t do the mannequin work.
during the tutorial, I asked the tutor to check the project proposal because it is my first time to write project proposal, and I was not confident with it. Tutor said it is good at discussing the flow of the topic, but after that, she advised me that it would be better to make a simple statement about where to focus on and proceed before writing a specific plan. It seems to have become a more obvious and organized article after the revision.
Giles recommended us to visit the Alexander McQueen store and visit the exhibition space upstairs. The exhibition was really fabulous and gorgeous. All stuff in the store was amazing and I love their design notes. It is really interesting to see the work notes and the outcome at the same time. I took pictures a lot but I upload photos especially related to my specialism, textile. there are so many fabulous textile samples and I could see how their samples are used in clothes. It was a learning point to me. Sometimes it’s hard to think how to apply my samples to design beautifully. I enjoyed looking their tests on the body. I will find more developments of other designers and explore them to be a good designer.
