<Peer review reflective statement>
Moodboard – I didn’t attend the last class of March, so I couldn’t get some feedback from other students. But this time, she told me my choice is a good choice. Because other subjects are too thematic and if I choose those things, I would have a difficulty in this term3 conceptual project. I agree with her, If I chose other subject like fish smell, it would be hard to find diverse academic resources.
Primary/Secondary Research (this review is from my first week peer) – At first week, I was totally misunderstood this project. I worked the project same way as term2, I mainly focused on the visual resources of my topic. Therefore, my peer and tutor gave me a feedback that I should add my opinion and primary research should be enhanced to secondary research. Also they recommended me to search the museum and finally I visited the ‘Imperial War Museum’ then I could fully understood this conceptual project.
Project Proposal – I got a feedback that I need to add a particular brand or person who I will design for. Then I add the brand ‘Ganni.’ Because I think Ganni’s colourful and interesting pattern and design is similar to my brand personality. I will design for a capsule collection with Ganni. Also I forgot to add about time management. It is my weak point so I should add it.
3d ideas – My peer gave a positive feedback about my textile samples. but she said how about using diverse materials on my textile samples. I know what she means, but In fact, this time I planned to make textile samples using only yarns. Because I made a variety of samples with experimental materials last term, so I’m going to think about more technical parts this time. of course, even when I focus on the technical parts, I always explore how to make it exciting ways. I think one sample with bullet-shape things is enough this time.
Blog- I have a lot of things to upload this time. I think I didn’t do well in time management this time. I was too focused on my English test during 3 weeks. I will upload all soon and also will discuss my time management on reflective statement.
In afternoon class, I consider about illustration. I will use digital drawing. Because to represent texture of my samples, I think digital drawing is more useful than hand drawings. In addition, in this time, I tried to draw a face. Until now, I always didn’t draw eyes and nose because I’m not confident about drawing faces. However, I will add faces on final line up. And I drew a young and trendy women who will be my target customers. I will practice other angles of her.
